Business Meetings
Terms of Use
Effective August 12, 2026. Using the Service means you accept this.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are the agreement between you and Business Meetings for use of our website and application (the “Service”). By requesting access, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Business Meetings is a tool for churches and similar organizations to track committee positions and terms, run a live election (nominate, vote, elect), show a projector view, and share a results PDF.
2. Access
Access is granted by us, church by church. We may approve, refuse, suspend, or end access at any time.
3. Accounts
Keep your login confidential. Use accurate information. Church administrators may access only the church or churches assigned to them. The Service Owner may access every church on the Service in order to operate and support it.
4. Your records
You own the data you enter (member names, positions, seats, meetings, nominations, votes, and results). You grant us a license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for having the right to enter people’s names and for how your organization uses the results.
5. Elections
The Service records what you enter during a meeting. It does not sit as your denomination, board, or bylaw authority, and it does not certify that an election was valid under your constitution. You decide how to use the record.
6. Projector and shared links
The projector page and any results PDF you share are visible to anyone who has the link or can see the screen. Names and vote totals on that display are not a secret ballot. Do not share those links more widely than you intend.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, try to access another church’s data, disrupt the Service, or use it for unlawful purposes.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that term math or results will match your bylaws.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST OR DISPUTED VOTES, OR DECISIONS YOUR ORGANIZATION MAKES USING THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ZERO IF YOU ARE NOT BEING BILLED.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your data, your meetings, your sharing of projector or PDF links, or your use of the Service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the new effective date is acceptance.
12. Contact
Use the Request access form on the home page, or the email address we used when your church was set up.
